Visiting Herzliya: start here
Herzliya sits on the coast just north of Tel Aviv, with a hotel strip, marina and beaches in Herzliya Pituach and a busy train station in the city. Most sights are in the west of the city; the old centre around Sokolov St has the museums.

Arrive by train
Herzliya station is on the coastal line and is the northern end of the trains to Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon; on a sample weekday 258 trains called there.

Pick a beach
Herzliya has 8 declared bathing beaches along about 7 km of coast, with lifeguards in season, plus a separate beach and a dog beach.

Visit Apollonia National Park
Clifftop Crusader fortress and ancient port town at the north end of the city; adult 24 NIS, child 10 NIS.

Use the free weekend buses
Naim BaSofash lines 721 and 722 run free to the Tel Aviv beaches and centre on Friday evenings and Saturdays.

Good to know
Regular buses stop for Shabbat; only the municipal Naim BaSofash lines run. The Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art is closed for renovation (Oct 2026).
